Follow along with me as I show you some of my favorite FMD desserts, sorbet & sherbet! In this class, I want to emphasize to you all that pleasure stimulates the metabolism. These treats are the perfect fix for a sweet tooth, while also helping ignite your rate of burn!
When igniting your metabolism it is important to eat foods that you enjoy! You should never feel guilty for putting pleasure on your plate, in fact, you should celebrate it. The Strawberry-Beet Sorbet is loaded with fiber and antioxidants and the Peach-Sunflower Seed Sorbet is filled with heart-healthy fats. I encourage you to make one (or all) of these delicious treats with me today, whether you are making it for yourself or someone you love. Strawberry-Beet Sorbet
INGREDIENTS
2 cups strawberries, stemmed
¼ cup diced beets
¼ cup birch xylitol
4 cups ice cubes
DIRECTIONS
- Blend the ingredients until smooth, serve right away.
Peach-Sunflower Seed Sorbet
INGREDIENTS
4 cups ice
½ cup birch-based xylitol
2 cups frozen peach chunks
¼ cup sunflower seeds
4 mint leaves (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Place all ingredients in a Vitamix (or other powerful blender).
- Blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately or freeze to desired consistency
