D-Burn Smoothie

Smoothie with pumpkin seeds, green apple, fresh basil, cucumber, and lemon.

Clearing up gas, constipation, and bloating can make you feel like you've dropped 5 pounds, but with the D-Burn, you will do much more for your body than just getting waste moving through it in a timely manner. Let's start our D-Burn day off right with my ever-popular D-Burn Smoothie!

Though fresh is best, if you want to make this for the whole plan, take this recipe and multiply its ingredients by five. Pour into single-serving container and freeze. Then remove, re-blend, and enjoy.

D-Burn Breakfast | Serves 1
Prep time: 5 minutes | Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds
1 lemon, peeled
1 teaspoon chia seeds
1/2 green apple, cored
1/2 cup packed fresh basil leaves
1/2 cucumber
1 cup water
3/4 cup ice
Optional: birch xylitol or pure stevia to taste, if you need more sweetness

Directions

  1. Dry-blend the pumpkin seeds.

  2. Add the lemon, chia seeds, apple, basil, cucumber, water, and ice. Blend until smooth. If you need more sweetness, you can add a few drops of pure stevia, Metabolism Sweet, or birch xylitol.
