28DAY FMD CHALLENGE Q&A 11-11-2025

Questions:


  • Why did I used to lose the most weight in Phase 2 but now I lose the most in Phase 1?

  • If I still can’t tolerate even a half of a vit c packet, what does that mean?

  • Sometimes I feel my fingertips have wrinkles/folds, but I drink plenty of water?

  • What does a wrinkle/fold on earlobe mean?

  • What does high testosterone level mean?

  • As a follow-up from last week, what supplements do you recommend specifically for me? quantity and time of day.

  • I'll be scheduling my annual Function Health labs soon. Are there any additional labs you'd suggest to help improve my health?

  • Can you help me plan for pH testing this week? I get up at 6:30 with the kids and then go back to bed until I get a full 8 hours of sleep. I then get up again, usually between 10-12. Do you want me to test the first void after that second wake-up up or wait a couple of hours and then test?

  • Same question for Melatonin. I have been taking it when i wake up at 6:30 and then going back to bed. Is that correct or should I wait and take it when I get up the second time?

  • Any feedback on my sleep journal I posted in the Facebook page per your request?

  • Given the results of my DEXA scan, do you feel that hormones, diet and exercise, particularly given my lack of ability to do most weight-bearing exercises, I can truly positively impact my DEXA scores without drugs? (As a reminder, hip = -2.7, lumbar spine = -3.5)

  • Do you have an opinion about which osteoporosis drug is least dangerous? I have not yet talked to my doctor, so you won’t be contradicting anything he says. 

  • Melatonin and Control- after a week what is the frequency i should take this combo?

  • Lots of nasal congestion & a post nasal drip - histamine?

  • Nurse practitioner suggests estrogen patch and progesterone pill. I’m reluctant to add these.

  • Is it true we need to avoid Biotin 3 days before thyroid labs?

  • Just received my new Omega 3 results. It is actually lower than the first time. What should I do?

  • What supplements are key for me moving forward and maintain

  • Moving forward what programs would you consider I do cleanses how many times a year followed by a FMD or D burn?

  • When is it appropriate for a 5 day cleanse if I have bounced up and down 3-4 lbs for a couple of weeks?

  • Do I need to stay on mr or do a different plan after this week? 

  • I have sensitive skin and wanted to know if you recommend certain body soaps to use?

  • Low aldolase seems problematic for energy and carb metabolism.  How can I increase it and what's the number I'm aiming for?

  • Compliance with supplements is tough for me since I don't swallow pills.  I want to increase my compliance so can you rebuild my supplement protocol from scratch now that you've seen updated labs?

  • Low aldolase, high SBHG, wacky hormone ratios, elevated APOb and low adopenectin seem to be impacting me the most.  I wouldn't know what to address first.  Can you elaborate on what to improve first vs second etc.

  • What did the pituitary doc you spoke to have to say? Anything I need to be doing with my pituitary?

  • You mentioned kombucha is good. I love kombucha. Kelly says you need to find one without fruit juice. Any idea on brands or where to source? I believe Humm zero sugar would work and they have a whole 30 option.

  • What is the healthiest tequila? You had a great recommendation for Kelly for a healthy vodka.

  • I usually take my morning pH after working out. I believe you said that can mess with your ph on the last call.
