Chicken Burgers



Herbs and spices, like the amazing ones found in this incredible recipe, help break down foods, lightening the load on your liver and pancreas. 

Phase 1 | Serves 4  
Prep time: 20 minutes | Total time: 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground chicken
2 tablespoons minced roasted red peppers (jarred water-packed are fine)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
Juice of 1 lemon
2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
1/2 teaspoon paprika or chili powder
1/8 teaspoon sea salt
4 sprouted grain bun halves
Lettuce or baby greens
Tomato

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine all ingredients (except the buns, lettuce, and tomato) in a large bowl and mix well.

  2. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat.

  3. Shape the meat mixture into 4 patties and cook about 5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

  4. Serve each patty on a bun half with lettuce (or baby greens) and tomato.
