Spiced Turkey Burgers

All Phases | Serves 6
Prep time: 20 to 25 minutes | Total time: 30 to 35 minutes

INGREDIENTS

1 small onion, minced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped finely
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1 1/2 pounds ground turkey

DIRECTIONS

  1. Mix, by hand, all the ingredients and form into patties.

  2. Cook in a pan on the stove top (or grill) until fully cooked, about 5 to 8 minutes on each side.

Note: These can also be made into meatballs and baked in the oven. These can be eaten on sprouted grain bread for Phase 1, on their own for Phase 2, or topped with avocado on Phase 3.
